Yes, the neighbor dispute is nothing new, so why a book? Why now? Because the world has changed – simple differences among people living in close proximity are now more common occurrences, and are more difficult to address. They typically snowball from simple matters into complicated messes, and are almost impossible to resolve as they persist for years, ruining home life for multiple parties and changing many people at their cores for the worse.
There’s more to complain about now than ever before. The barking dog has become the vicious dog. Loud music has become a bass-enhanced, earth-shaking experience that forces everyone around the reveler to partake in his taste in music, movies and talentless guitar practice. Boundary disputes are becoming much more complicated, as fencing issues pale by comparison to those created by shared driveways, shining lights and surveillance cameras.
